“As an exchange student, it seemed impossible for me, a teenage boy who lived 16 years in a big city in Jordan, to adapt to a small town in Idaho that barely has a few restaurants and 1 coffee shop, without any friends to lean on.

Everyone was very welcoming. My host family and the students in my school were really friendly and somehow, I became attached to them and to this tiny town. My life had a different but great spice during this year. In the end, as I was planning to return home, I knew that I was connected to my friends and to my host family there, and they made leaving difficult.

Payette is a part of me, and I am totally in love with this tiny cheerful town, including the people that live in it… Beside all the jokes that I got about camels (ha-ha), I loved it, and I will always remember how life tastes here.” ~ Daniel from Jordan
